From Zermatt, you will take the cable car on an impressive panoramic trip over partly jagged glaciers to the Plateau Rosa station (CH / I border) at an altitude of over 3,400 metres above sea level. At the Swiss/Italian border you tackle the easy, rocky ascent to the Theodulhorn. The first summit is done – you then descend a few metres to the Furggsattel, where the ascent to the Furgghorn awaits you. Arriving at the 2nd summit, you are rewarded with a tremendous panorama around the Zermatt mountains. With the crampons, you descend via the Upper Theodul Glacier to the Trockene Steg, where the mountain tour ends.
